Pure, creative, fresh, real -- these are the words used to describe the wedding photography of the American photographer Rachel James.


Discerning couples are moving away from the more formal approach to photography and towards a fresh and creative style which captures details, stolen moments and emotion as well as family and guests.

Photography should serve to document the celebration rather than dominate the proceedings. It takes a trained eye to anticipate the special moments. And capturing those moments is what I do best.

I prefer not to shoot from a list. I'd rather not stage a thing. Your wedding day is unique and full of rich moments that are far better than anything I could stage. My goal is to photograph the story that is happening around you and the moments that you may miss in all the activity of the day.

Classic group photos can not be avoided. I strive to create them in a quick and relaxed manner, so that you can enjoy as much uninterrupted time with family and friends as possible.

My hope is that couples relax and enjoy their day with the knowledge that memories are being captured with the attention to detail and care only a true professional can provide.

To capture your wedding day in my unqiue documentary style I prefer to be present for the whole day - about 6 hours. But for intimate weddings of just a few hours or weddings that span over a couple of days, I am also available. I work throughout the Netherlands and travel worldwide.

Prices

Taart & Tranen offers two simple options: documentary style coverage resulting in a high resolution CD/DVD of all images captured or documentary style coverage resulting in a traditional wedding album or a printed and bound photo book.

Because every wedding is different, wedding coverage is booked by the hour. This allows you to build a package to suit your needs and wishes.

Four hours of coverage and all photos (high resolution, and color and black and white) on DVD in deluxe packaging is available for € 599.00. Contact me for an price estimate.
